6th Todmorden Rainbows Go Wild at Indoor Camp
We celebrated Rainbows Go Wild with an 'indoor camp' in the half term in October 2009. |

The Rainbows brought PJ's & sleeping bags & we 'camped out'
in tents in the hall at Ferney Lee. I also arranged a Wild Roadshow as
a surprise where we were visited by Sally the giant
African Snail, Holly the blonde Australian hedgehog, an African
tree frog (can't remember his name!), a Madagascan hissing cockroach,
Rosie the tarantula and Billy the millipede.
The Rainbows were able to handle some of the animals including Sally & Billy.
The Rainbows also built hedgehog habitats and hung bird feeders in the
school's Wild Garden. All this, plus arts, crafts, games and a
sing-song before going home at 8 p.m., having been presented with their
Rainbows Go Wild badge and bag.
