Halifax Gala Procession
The sun shone on Saturday 13th June 2009 when Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Senior Section units took part in the Halifax Charity Gala procession.
The girls from the Warley St John's units, part of Girlguiding Sowerby Division, were aboard a large Western themed wagon alongside their Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. |

The theme for Girlguiding Kingston District girls was 'The Wizard of Oz'
- complete with their very own yellow brick road!
They are part of Girlguiding Halifax South Division.
This is the eleventh year that the District has taken part in the Gala.

For the girls involved (from ALL the various groups)
being part of the Gala Procession is a highlight of their Guiding year!
The units also had stalls on the Gala field with a variety of activities
- the money raised being used to fund camps and holidays as well as
meeting general unit expenses.
