Our first stop after booking into the Dance Session was to have a game of Jenga with the wooden blocks.
We had hoped to have time to build a tall tower but time ran out and we had to move on to the Theatre. |
| Here we learn a dance (the hand jive) and then danced it ‘In the Dark’ (Centenary Challenge) to very loud music, sometimes doing it at double speed – everyone was laughing and having a great time. |
 |
 |
We stopped in the craft area to make music shakers from lots of different craft materials. There were long ones, short ones, fat ones and thin ones, one even looked like a lollypop. Moving on we looked ‘Down from on High’, to the lower gallery. as part of the Centenary Challenge. |
In the Arctic/Antarctic zone we explored how to make an Igloo, looked through an ice hole and surfed on the surfboard.
Goodness it looks cold in there girls! |
 |
 |
Moving on into the BODY area we measured how tall we were, how high we could reach, weighed ourselves, looked into our bodies, and learned how food was digested once it went into our mouths
– very nice, yuck!
And how to care for our teeth! |
We hopped, skipped and jumped, along with lots of other Brownies, Leaders and VIPs from all over North East England, for part of our Centenary challenge. We also tried to collect 100 signatures – but we are still working on that one.

We spent time on the exercise bike and if we peddled fast enough we could see a skeleton at the side of us in the mirror – scary.
After lunch, which we had outside, we played games with the Frisbees and with a parachute. |
We stopped to say hello to ‘Scoot’
the Eureka! Robot and answered a lot of questions too.
We liked Scoot. |
 |
 |
Back inside at the Bank, while the Brownies were busy making their own money and trying to break into the safety deposit boxes, Michelle, Adele and myself decided to sit in the chair that contained £1Million – well we can dream can’t we? |
| After chasing around the Bank and Garage area it got a bit too much for two young Brownies who said that they were all ‘tyred out’ ha-ha! |
 |
 |
Not content with all the activities that we had done during the day our Brownies decided to try their hand in the drama department and dressed up to perform a shortened version of Cinderella, well-done girls. |
Ten very tired Brownies and three exhausted Leaders had a lovely time!
We'll all remember the day that 'Brownies Took Over Eureka!'
