We've Changed the World!

 7th Todmorden Brownies ... support WWF |
Our Brownies chose WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) for
their Changing the World project.
We learnt about palm oil production and the effect on the orangutan population and we studied food labels to see how widespread the use of palm oil was.
We looked at energy to see where we could cut down consumption
and reduce the greenhouse effect.
We looked at waste and its effect on wildlife through land and sea pollution.
We decorated bags for life with fabric crayons.
We learned about the lives of and the threats to animals like
dolphins and polar bears.
We finished with a big celebration evening with Fairtrade refreshments.
We pledged what we were going to do to help the planet.
