 4th Rastrick Guides ... Help the Hospices |
As part of the project we undertook activities from the pack based on
the Live Love and Let Go themes.
We planted herbs with meanings, made friendship cards and
had discussions about valuing our loved ones.
We had a visitor from Overgate hospice and we held a coffee evening with cake stalls and other attractions to raise funds.
Although we have officially now finished the project we hope the link can continue.
Laura from Overgate in coming back after the summer so that we can present her with the cheque and she can present the girls with her badges.
We may also have input from our vicar as we further discuss the issues
raised within the 'let go' part of the challenge.
We are hoping to undertake some direct action community service with the hospice later in the year by helping out with the garden.
We raised £300 for Overgate Hospice!
