Sowerby Division
Hello I'm Angela Wilkins and I'm the Commissioner for Sowerby Division
|
Sowerby Division is a fantastic place to be involved in Girlguiding.
We have over 300 members who meet regularly to learn and achieve.

As part of our Centenary Celebrations we have recently held an afternoon tea party for former leaders to come along and take a trip down memory lane. We had a display of guiding memorabilia and spent hours reminiscing about previous Celebrations including the 50th, 60th and 75th Anniversaries. |
We also continue to look to the future – the girls in our units are our future
and many of them have taken part in activities with Girlguiding
they might not have had the opportunity to do elsewhere.
Our Annual Report for 2009 covers just a few of the highlights
our girls and adults have enjoyed this past 12 months.
Please read it to find out all about the FUN we all have!
Our Division stretches from Rishworth through Sowerby Bridge,
past Warley and out to Luddenden, with units attached to eight churches.
There are 6 Guide Units, 8 Brownie Packs and 7 Rainbow Groups.
We have a thriving Senior Section Unit with many of the girls helping at units throughout the Division as Young Leaders.
Our Trefoil Guild is very active and like to be involved
in all our Division activities.
Some of them help out at units where there is a shortage of leaders.
We are always ready to welcome new members
- girls who would like to join a unit
- adults who would like to get involved
